Myella Farmstay

Myella is a traditional Aussie cattlefarm, owned and run by the Eather family. The farm consists of 2600 acres (1040 ha) of cattle grazing land, running 400 beef cattle. The family buy brahman cross steers and sell when fat. In addition to this they receive up to 18 visitors at any one time of year, who come to experience the real life of an Aussie cattle station. And it's quite a life! I had some great days at the farm with the Eather's and their helpers. The people and the place were great, and that goes for the animals, the activities, the accomodation and the food as well. Well worth a visit. Take a look at the map to find out how to get there.

It's not easy to be a cowboy and to have to deal with all those city people, like myself, who hardly know which direction to sit on a horse. But those chances to chat with real cowgirls (far right) helps a lot!
